Founded in the early 1990s, production of the first drives and cartridge holders began in 1992. Today, Soraton stands for seven drives and over 60 variants. International growth was driven forward with the expansion to Taiwan starting in 1999. Numerous awards – including international innovation and technology prizes – confirmed the high standards of quality, design, and Swiss precision.

It all started with a clear objective: to develop a dispenser that sets new standards, both technically and ergonomically. The desire for a device that was thought through down to the smallest detail emerged at one of the world's largest providers in the construction trade. With this vision—and many bold ideas in tow—Soraton SA was founded.
Three years later, the time had come: the first production tools were ready, and the manufacturing of drives and the initial cartridge holders began. With every further development, new holders were added. Today, seven drives and over 60 variants stand for the diversity and innovative power of Soraton.
To meet increasing demand, a second production facility was established in Taiwan in 1999. To this day, EconoMax® dispensers are manufactured there—marking a significant step toward international presence and scalability.
Just two years later, Soraton became the only Swiss company to receive the prestigious Trophée International de la Construction. The award-winning HandyMax® impressively demonstrated how the interplay of technical innovation and ergonomic design can set a winning standard.
In Geneva, Soraton was honored with the Platinum Technology Award for outstanding quality and its strong brand name. Yet another confirmation that Swiss precision is valued worldwide.
Success continued: In 2017, the International Construction Award followed in Madrid—another milestone that underscores our commitment to setting international standards with high-quality products.
Since January 1, 2025, Soraton SA has been under the leadership of Robert Abbrederis. With the new management, a new chapter in the company's history begins—characterized by a clear strategic orientation, consistent brand development, and the commitment to further strengthening Swiss quality and innovation internationally.
